CERTIFICATION

  • This is an official American Heart Association (AHA) Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) BLENDED class. An AHA BLS skills check-off is included in this class.
  • Students are expected to self-study prior to class, in addition to completing two free online modules.
  • All American Heart Association (AHA) certifications are valid through the month which the student takes the class. (If your card says "renew by April", you have until April 30th to renew your card)

1. REGISTRATION

  • Use the exact student information to be applied towards certification

2. TWO REQUIRED ONLINE COMPONENTS (free)

This is a Blended class and requires TWO free online component prior to the skills portion.

  1. Complete the AHA ACLS PreCourse Self-Assessment (50-question quiz; this is very similar to the in-person exam)
  2. Complete the AHA ACLS PreCourse Work/Videos. Completing the Self-Assessment unlocks this step; there is no direct URL

  • Expect to spend a total of 4 hours with the online work
  • Email your certificate of completion titled "PreCourse Preparation" to CPRmobile.me@gmail.com (you do not need to submit your quiz results)
    • DO NOT purchase the "HeartCode" online module

Remember, the online work is not meant to be the sole method of preparation; students are also expected to review their 2020 Provider Manual. This is an advanced class that requires more than just a few hours of studying. Lack of preparation often leads to remediation/rescheduling.

5. IN-PERSON SESSION

  • Bring your 2020 AHA ACLS Provider Manual.
  • Arrive 10 minutes early to ensure you are not late (doors may lock at the start of class).
  • Students who are prepared for class will finish within the 4 hour class. Download your classroom requirements HERE (refresh the page if it doesn't load).
  • Know your medications, rhythms, and algorithms PRIOR to class. If you are not prepared for class, you likely will not finish class and will be asked to self-study for two weeks prior to participating in another class.
  • AHA ACLS + AHA BLS certifications issued immediately after successful completion of class.
  • DO NOT COME TO CLASS IF YOU ARE SICK - just ask to reschedule.

REMEDIATION

This is an intensive class. Insufficient self-preparation often results in the need for remediation. If the student is not able to demonstrate proficiency by the AHA standards, the student will not be issued a certification and there will be no refund. The instructor will provide the student a checklist of proficiency criteria that need remediation.

  • The student is expected to self-study for a minimum of 2 weeks prior to attempting another class.
  • The student must re-complete both online components.
  • The student can remediate for free if they are willing to be put on a waiting list (class is capped at 4 students). If they want a guaranteed seat, they will need to resubmit payment.
