2) PreCourse Work/Videos (no direct link; you must complete the Self-Assessment first)
1) Demonstrate In-Person BLS Requirements
2) If opting for a 10 minute BLS check-off, you do not need to complete any BLS online work.
Regardless of whether you need a BLS checkoff, if you are unable to demonstrate BLS understanding without instructor prompting, AHA recommends that you do not stay for the ACLS class and instead reschedule. Then, attend a 100% BLS class first. After completion of the BLS class, reschedule your ACLS class.
BOOK REQUIREMENT:
Study your AHA 2020 ACLS Provider Manual.
Bring your AHA 2020 ACLS Provider Manual to class.
Refer to the Appendix in your AHA 2020 ACLS Provider Manual for specific testing criteria.
Although a current BLS certification is not required to take this ACLS class, all ACLS students must demonstrate high-quality BLS (high-quality compressions and ventilations). These BLS physical performance requirements are NOT WAIVED UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCE.
