My name is Maria Wiltscheck, instructor of daily CPR classes at The Commerce Center, 1099 Gum Branch Rd, Jacksonville, NC 28540. REQUIRED ONLINE COMPONENT

This is a BLENDED class. An online component will be assigned to your Red Cross Blended Learning Portal (https://www.redcrosslearningcenter.org/s/login/) within 1 day of registration/payment. It is usually assigned within just a couple of minutes/hours. Be sure to disable your popup blocker, and email CPRmobile.me@gmail.com if you do not see it on your account. DO NOT MAKE AN ADDITIONAL PURCHASE THROUGH RED CROSS - your payment through CPR Mobile will cover this fee/component.

Your online component must be completed prior to your in-person skills session. If you do not complete it prior to class, you will need to reschedule.

ARRIVAL

• NO LATE ENTRY. Arrive at least 10 minutes early. Doors typically unlock 10-20 minutes prior to class, and will lock immediately at the start of class.

• Use the front parking lot (which may be empty when you get there) and use the front doors.

• LATE ARRIVALS will arrive to locked doors and will automatically have their "class credit" returned to their CPR Mobile account, with two exceptions:

  • If you are the only student and do not arrive by 10 minutes after our scheduled start time, there will be a $20 rescheduling fee.

  • If you are in a full class (6 students registered) and you cancel within 2 hours of class, there will be a $20 rescheduling fee.

• NO AUDITORS/NON-STUDENTS/TODDLERS/INFANTS ALLOWED FOR PUBLIC CLASSES. Do not bring your child(ren) unless they are considered students.

REFUNDS & CANCELLATION/RESCHEDULING

• If you need to reschedule, please email CPRmobile.me@gmail.com AT LEAST TWO HOURS PRIOR TO CLASS to avoid the $20 rescheduling fee.

• Payment reserves your seat in a capped class, ensures class remains scheduled, reserves a room, and ensures your instructor is available. For this reason, ALL REFUNDS ARE DONE AS CLASS CREDIT towards the email associated with CPR Mobile.

REGISTRATION

• Register with the EXACT name, VALID email address, and phone number to be applied to the certification.

• If registering multiple students, be sure to provide a unique email address for each student.

• Students will get automated text and email messages with event details.

• Students will also get a reminder when their certification is about to expire in 2 years.

• These texts/emails are meant to be a courtesy (NOT SPAM/promotional) to help students get to class on-time.

PAYMENT

• $90: First Aid & CPR/AED

• $80: CPR/AED-only (without First Aid)

• Payment is required to create your online component

IN-PERSON SKILLS REQUIREMENTS

To gain certification, the student is required to perform proficiently at an objective standard. Failure to meet these criteria will mean that the student will not receive a certification of successful completion. Class fees are not refunded when the student does not meet these criteria.

Students are required to perform, at a minimum, 30 high-quality compressions and 2 ventilations with the manikin positioned ON THE FLOOR. Students must demonstrate cognitive understanding and proficiency of all skills. Required skills include identifying cardiac arrest, effective communication, performing a 2-minute high-quality CPR scenario with no prompting, and using an AED trainer safely and correctly. THESE PHYSICAL PERFORMANCE REQUIREMENTS ARE NOT WAIVED UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCE. Please keep this in mind if you are suffering from an injury, recovering from surgery, or are currently pregnant.
