My name is Maria Wiltscheck, instructor of daily CPR classes at The Commerce Center, 1099 Gum Branch Rd, Jacksonville, NC 28540. I offer the best classes I can; and out of respect for your fellow students I adhere to a strict "on-time" attendance policy. If you have any questions at all, please feel free to contact me directly. You can email me at CPRmobile.me@gmail.com, or text/call my cell at 507-766-5185 (my New Ulm, MN number). Please note that I rarely pick up the phone as I am usually teaching class or in a noisy environment ; email or text are preferred! I generally respond fastest to texts. Please provide relevant information when contacting me (full name, class date, etc.)
This is an official American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers class. This is a BLENDED class, and the online component MUST be completed PRIOR to class.
NO LATE ENTRY. Plan to arrive at least 10 minutes early. Doors usually unlock 10-20 minutes prior to class, and will be locked immediately at the start of class. If you arrive to unlocked doors feel free to come in and use the restrooms and wait in the lobby. I come up about 15 minutes prior to class to escort everyone to our classroom.
LATE ARRIVALS will arrive to locked doors and will have their "class credit" returned to their CPR Mobile account, with two exceptions:
If you are the only student and do not arrive by 10 minutes after our scheduled start time, there will be a $20 rescheduling fee.
If you are in a full class (6 students registered) and you cancel within 2 hours of class, there will be a $20 rescheduling fee.
Do not come to class if you are sick or do not feel well. Ask to reschedule at least 2 hours prior to class to avoid paying a $20 rescheduling fee.
ONLY PARTICIPATING/PAYING STUDENTS ALLOWED IN CLASSROOM. Do not bring your child(ren) unless they are considered student(s).
AHA mandates that all students be given 2 hours to complete the HeartCode BLS skills class. Some students may get done faster. If anyone needs extra time after class, I will work with them on an individual basis to ensure they have had sufficient time to complete all class requirements.
Purchase ($38) and complete the required online component through the AHA website: https://shopcpr.heart.org/heartcode-bls.
To view your HeartCode certificate, log into AHA's website at https://elearning.heart.org/ and click on "My Courses". Be sure to complete the survey in order to access your certificate.
Email a copy of your HeartCode certificate to CPRmobile.me@gmail.com PRIOR to class.
THIS ONLINE COMPONENT MUST BE SUBMITTED TO CPRmobile.me@gmail.com AT LEAST TWO HOURS PRIOR TO CLASS. If your online certificate is not emailed to CPRmobile.me@gmail.com 2 hours prior to class, your class may be canceled short-notice. Please complete this online component immediately.

Provide EXACT STUDENT NAME, VALID EMAIL ADDRESS, and PHONE NUMBER to be applied to the certification.
Read the "terms and conditions" as you check the box during registration. By registering, all students agree that they understand the class policies.
NOTIFICATION SCHEDULE - students will receive approximately 4-5 emails and texts. These are meant to help students get to class on-time and remind them when their card will expire in 2 years.
1) Registration email containing a copy of class date/time/location/requirements/waiver/payment information.
2) 24-hour class reminder
3) 2-hour class reminder (deadline to reschedule)
4) Certification email after class
5) Reminder to renew your card 3 months prior to your expiration date.
Text messages are automated - you cannot "reply" to them.
Payment reserves your seat in a capped class, ensures class remains scheduled, reserves a room, and ensures your instructor is available. For this reason, ALL REFUNDS ARE DONE AS CLASS CREDIT towards the email associated with CPR Mobile.
If you need to reschedule, please email CPRmobile.me@gmail.com or text Maria at 507-766-5185 at least 2 hours prior to class to avoid the $20 rescheduling fee.
If you are the only student and do not submit your online component at least 2 hours prior to class, I will attempt to contact you to verify class. If I cannot contact you 2 hours prior to class, your will be canceled.
Some students find CPR to be strenuous. In order to obtain certification, AHA requires students to perform a minimum of about two minutes (5 cycles) of high-quality CPR on a high-fidelity manikin. These manikins give students real-time audio-visual feedback to ensure objective fulfillment of compression tempo and depth. Students are allowed to take the manikin to any level they feel comfortable with (i.e., on a table with a step-stool provided or on the ground).
Do not register for class if you have any doubt of your physical abilities to perform CPR. If you are pregnant or recovering from an injury, please take this into consideration. The physical requirements of CPR are not waived under any circumstances.
Most of my BLS skills check-offs are on the weekend. If you cannot find a class that fits your schedule, you can create an "on-demand" class on Monday and Tuesday evenings. Click HERE or visit https://www.cprmobile.me/offerings/70-on-demand-aha-bls-skills-check-off-american-heart-association-aha-basic-life-support-bls-for-healthcare-providers to create an on-demand class.
The scheduler will only allow you to book a class one week out. If you need this done ASAP, please call/text/email me at 507-766-5185, CPRmobile.me@gmail.com
